OK so there’s no actual lake surrounding the Aldworth Manor in Harrisville New Hampshire but if someone showed me a photo of the mansion itself, I would think I was in a villa in Italy.

Getting Ready

Kara and Nolan’s day started with Kara and her bridal party in the manor itself sipping bubbles and getting glammed. And Nolan and his groomsmen in the separate residence just down the path doing the same, maybe with a little less setting spray. As usual, my first task of the day was working on a flatlay shot. For this particular wedding, the stationary was designed by @patricepapierstudio.

With the couple forgoing a first look for the more traditional, see ya during the ceremony moment, we decided to divide and conquer as many portraits as we could beforehand. With a backdrop such as the Aldworth and its picturesque property, our job of choosing the right locations for portraits was an easy one.

The Ceremony

The ceremony was something out of a movie. The first time Nolan and Kara saw one another was extremely emotional, especially since they hadn’t seen each other all day. You could feel it ripple through every single guest the moment Kara appeared. There wasn’t a dry eye in sight, and honestly, same.

A Tented Reception

The reception that followed was exactly what you’d hope for after a ceremony like that, full of energy, laughter, and one of the best live bands I’ve ever seen (shout out to NIGHT SHIFT ENTERTAINMENT). Kara and Nolan had clearly curated a guest list of people who knew how to have a good time, and it showed. The toasts were heartfelt, the food looked incredible, and the whole evening had this effortless warmth to it that you just can’t manufacture.

Everything went extremely smooth thanks to the team at Events by Sorrell and Aldworth Manor! I’m excited to say I’ll be shooting another wedding there in September and I cannot wait!
